Saint Francis of Assisi College main campus is more than lucky and blessed because the school was visited by the well known healing priest, Rev. Father Fernando Suarez. More than that, Father Suarez celebrated a Healing Mass for the school community with its Chair and President, Dr. Evangeline Oñas Orosco and her family, the faculty, and the other school personnel.
Father Suarez talked to the community as a father who loves his children. He asked us to recheck our lifestyle and our relationship with the Divine. We have different ways and approaches to recognize the presence of God among us. We have to be faithful to the very core of our calling.
His homily is a wake-up call for us to recognize the presence of God every time, to discover God’s amazing grace. He bestowed on us not only in times of plenty but also in times of sickness, and adversaries. He also called on the youth to spend less time for pleasure seeking gadgets that robbed their time in seeking and recognizing God in their lives.
Not only his popularity and gift that make one curious about him; there is something within him that exudes, a charisma that flows freely, a spiritual tranquility and trust in the Divine. Only a few was given the gift of healing and our beloved school, Saint Francis of Assisi College is grateful for his visit. It was an opportunity for everyone to experience the healing power of God through the presence of Father Suarez as His instrument.
