The day was fair and fun-filled when the Philippine Sports Commissioner herself, Gillian Akiko Thomson-Guevara spoke as the Guest Speaker at the 2012 College Intramurals held at the College Gymnasium last February 8, 2012 at 9:00 o'clock in the morning.

She encouraged the students to do their best to win but to "play fair, play safe and enjoy the games." She mentioned how she at a young age became a swimmer and how she worked hard later which made her won many awards in swimming competitions at the South East Asian Games, at the Summer Olympics and in many other contests. She addressed the students to boost their morale for the duration of the games and to underscore the importance of sports.

Saint Francis of Assisi College main campus is more than lucky and blessed because the school was visited by the well known healing priest, Rev. Father Fernando Suarez. More than that, Father Suarez celebrated a Healing Mass for the school community with its Chair and President, Dr. Evangeline Oñas Orosco and her family, the faculty, and the other school personnel.

Father Suarez talked to the community as a father who loves his children. He asked us to recheck our lifestyle and our relationship with the Divine. We have different ways and approaches to recognize the presence of God among us. We have to be faithful to the very core of our calling.
